Angela Malloy Murphy The Red Tent Join us for this special monthly event, The Red Tent, where we will explore many different aspects of mythology through storytelling, music and dance. Based on the incredible book of the same name, The Red Tent is the sacred place where women go to relax on their "days off", to be in community with each other celebrating the cycles of life and rejoicing in the wisdom of our bodies. Join us for a fun and enchanting evening, full of stories, fairy tales, and myths from around the world. Each intimate gathering will feature a new theme, a story-telling segment, and a guided meditation. Your tour guide to the world of myth and story is Angela Malloy Murphy (see bio below). Bring wine, chocolate, or your other favorite indulgences to share. Instruments are welcome, as dancing and music appease the goddesses within us! (Sorry guys, this event is for women only) Angela Molloy Murphy is a teacher, dancer, and storyteller who has been practicing the Reclaiming tradition in Portland since 1997. With a formal education in both philosophy and folklore, she continues to use storytelling, trance, and ritual to explore the dynamic relationship between the mythic and the spiritual.
